SWPPP review & permitting
Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan review and VSMP permit coordination before a shovel hits the ground.
Erosion & sediment control isn't the part of the job you tack on at the end. Done wrong, it stops your permit cold — done right, it's the discipline we lead with.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
From SWPPP review to final stabilization — no handoffs, no finger-pointing.
Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan review and VSMP permit coordination before a shovel hits the ground.
Installed to spec, inspected on schedule, documented with photos for your compliance file.
Check dams, inlet protection, and the full best-management-practice set most contractors skip.
Campbell, Bedford, Amherst, Appomattox — we've read the books and build to the local spec.
Get ahead of an inspection, or fix one you just failed, without waiting weeks for a callback.

STORMWATER & VSMP, ANSWERED
The questions we get most from owners and GCs before this kind of job starts.
Often, yes — Virginia's Stormwater Management Program requires a permit once a project disturbs a certain amount of land (generally 2,500 square feet or more, though thresholds vary by locality), covering erosion and sediment control plus long-term stormwater management. We handle the SWPPP, permitting coordination, and installation as part of the job.
The inspector issues a notice of corrective action with a deadline to fix the deficiency — silt fence down, a basin not maintained, exposed soil without stabilization are common findings. We offer same-week site visits specifically to fix a failed inspection before it escalates to a stop-work order or fine.
Erosion & sediment control (E&SC) is the short-term work during construction — silt fence, sediment basins, stabilization — that keeps dirt from leaving the site. Stormwater management is the long-term design that controls runoff rate and quality after construction is done. VSMP compliance covers both, and we handle both.
WHY IT MATTERS
Additional industry benchmarks (regional market data, compliance figures) are being sourced and will be added here.
"The crews were very nice, very in tune with each other. I was also very impressed with how much they give back to the community. When you meet people like that you just know they are fantastic people."— Butch Goad, Machine Specialist, James River Equipment
